But lucky me... it took me so damn long to get down there, that by this morning all three of my expected packages arrived. I love opening packages! My sister's Christmas presents, my Tory Burch navy Reva flats, and my Sephora haul all arrived. (And I also saw some other Sephora boxes down in the office... hopefully my neighbors knew about the Friends & Family codes and the 20%off!)
So, my Tory Burch flats... not metallic at all. Which is kind of a bummer, because the other colors have a foil/chrome finish to them. But I guess plain navy patent leather is a great basic and they were only $137 on sale, so I'll keep them. They feel really comfortable and the navy will awesome with my AG Angel cords in brown or grey for work.
Now the fun box: the Sephora box. Sephora does free shipping with a $50 purchase and unlike the free standing stores, gives you three samples with every online purchase. I'm a product whore... I love discovering new products, so naturally I rip open those samples and go to town. As for my purchases, I've been using Diorshow's Black Out religiously for a while. I personally love it because it's a blacker black than all the blacks. My co-workers think I'm insane for wearing mascara with tinted lashes, but fuck it... I like an extreme lash. I'm so far from kids and the suburbs that I'm having fun with my makeup for now.
But the most exciting prospect is my Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads ($45, sold exclusively at Sephora). I was pretty excited to try one out after taking a shower this afternoon... and I think this is a necessary item for me, like Diet Coke. After just one use, my skin feels exactly like it did when I was going to Bella Vida day spa and paying $80 + tip per month. The Peter Thomas Roth product comes with 60 pads and there's enough product in each pad for the face, neck, decollete, and hands.
I also didn't feel too much stinging or discomfort. Now, if you have really sensitive skin... keep in mind, I'm raving about it and I used to get much stronger peels regularly. But for me, I am so excited about this find... I am kind of over Origins' Modern Friction scrub (I would rather just get a peel once a month) and while I was digging on my sample of their Modern Fusion (a lotion), I am liking the Peter Thomas Roth product 1,000 times better.
