As political as this blog will get.

I'm just going to throw this out there... Unless we are best-bestest friends, I have no desire to discuss politics or religion (and some of my best friends work in politics and respect this). I'll just say this: I am not supporting anyone in this election. I very much so agree with Plato's Republic, in that I think that anyone who would want to be president is PSYCHOTIC. Anyone who desires that kind of power should not have it.

Think about it: Our nation's founding father, George Washington, did not want to be president... he declined the offer several times. Hell, the other founding fathers wanted him to go by "your majesty" which Washington declined. Now, we have these ugly dog fights and smear campaigns by rich egomaniacs that want the prestige of the presidency. There's no sense in sacrifice and right and wrong... it's all lobbyists and money and making sure that their grandkids get into Harvard or Yale, due to presidential legacy. And the idea of having Air Force One for four years is pretty prestigious as well... What we need is a Philosopher King. But as the Simpsons' Kudos and Kronos ("Abortions for some, small American flags for others!") campaign satire pointed out, the American public cannot deviate from the two party of same evil system. So we cannot has. Not ours.

So no, there will be no thoughts about tonight's vice presidential debate... even if it did take place in Saint Louis. I watched, but honestly I wish that NBC aired a new episode of The Office instead.  Less blah de blah and more Dwight Schrute!
