How does the what relate to the what now?

From an earlier conversation with my Dad:

"Fuck, I really want White Castle. That means I have to go to California Pizza Kitchen for lunch."

Um... I don't comprehend. Hopefully, everyone reading this thinks that sentence is all kinds of incongruent logic... otherwise, it's me.
